Working with both the builder and his client, Zakuna created a bespoke design for this contemporary new build home in Exeter, applying a distinctive stainless steel inlay detail to both the external and internal doors. This unified approach ensures that the design language established at the front door carries through every room of the property, creating a home of real individuality.
Bespoke Pivot Entrance Door
For an ultra modern feel and a completely unique look, Zakuna designed the front door to incorporate brushed stainless steel inserts which were set into CNC horizontal grooves. The European Oak entrance door has a pivoting opening system that allows the management of large size doors for prestigious entrances. At 1.4m wide x 2.4m high, this door was the perfect choice for a bold and dramatic statement.
The front door rotates around its vertical axis, requiring no traditional jambs and so perfectly integrating with the glazed walls that flank the entrance. The hinges are integrated into the panel, ensuring maximum functionality without affecting the door’s clean appearance. Electric keypad entry, a high security locking system and high thermal values all contribute to one of the finest front entrances, where cutting edge technology is married with exceptional craftsmanship.
Designo Inlaid IN100 Interior Doors
The design was followed throughout the property with a further exterior door and a full suite of Designo Inlaid IN100 Interior Doors, all featuring the stainless steel inserts and matching ironmongery. This consistency of detail, from entrance to interior, creates a powerful sense of cohesion that is immediately apparent as you move through the home.
The Inlaid IN100 European Oak internal doors were manufactured as pre-hung door sets, crafted from the highest quality timber, engineered for precision. Each door set included premium features such as concealed hinges, flexible door seals, magnetic door latches and latch keeps which add to the minimal design and prevent slamming. The brushed stainless steel inlays sit flush within the CNC grooves, catching the light subtly as you pass through each doorway. The result is a door package of exceptional quality, where a single inspired detail unifies the entire property.
