The design has been carefully considered to enhance the interior decor and complement the heritage styling of the steel and glass interior doors throughout.
Nacra Staircase
Our Nacra Staircase is looking very sleek with its contemporary styling and angular lines. The stair configuration is 90 degree with winders, which creates a seamless transition as the treads meander around the corner, maintaining a fluid sense of movement throughout the design.
The steel strings from the sides feature a distinct saw-tooth design, a hallmark of the Nacra range that sets it apart from conventional staircase profiles. This striking saw-tooth pattern creates a bold visual rhythm, finished in RAL 9005 Jet Black for maximum impact. The precision engineering required to achieve this effect is considerable, with each angular section perfectly aligned to create a continuous, flowing silhouette.
The design is further emphasised by the bespoke steel railing, consisting of 10x40mm flat black steel profiles. These slender yet robust profiles are welded in sections and fixed to each stair tread, creating a contemporary balustrade that feels both architectural and refined. The vertical lines of the steel profiles play beautifully against the angular geometry of the saw-tooth strings, establishing a layered visual effect that rewards close inspection.
Step nose treads are crafted from Oak, stained to colour match the client’s flooring. This careful colour coordination ensures design continuity between the staircase and the surrounding interior, while the warmth of the Oak contrasts nicely with the black steel elements. The tactile quality of the timber underfoot adds a sense of natural luxury to the overall experience.
A 40mm square Oak handrail fitted on top of the steel railing completes the design, colour matching the treads for a cohesive finish. This combination of warm timber and dark metal accents creates a staircase that is both visually striking and wonderfully tactile, perfectly suited to a contemporary interior where quality materials and thoughtful design are paramount.
