Every staircase is entirely bespoke — from the configuration and balustrade design to the choice of timber, finish and lighting. Our team will manage the complete journey, from initial site survey and 3D modelling through to structural calculations, CAD drawings and professional installation. With our principal staircase types — Central String, Floating, String Under Treads, String From Sides, Curved & Spiral, and Commercial — our range is extensive enough to suit any brief. Staircase Configurations
Straight
The simplest configuration, blending design, function and creativity within a single flight between levels.
90 Degrees with Winders
90° winding turn creating an L-shaped transition, ideal where space is limited.
180 Degrees with Winders
180° winding turn creating a U-shaped transition, for a continuous, elegant ascent.
90 Degrees with Quarter Landing
Small quarter landing for a 90° turn, providing a comfortable rest point mid-flight.
180 Degrees with Half Landing
Generous half landing for a 180° turn, creating a U-shaped staircase with added comfort.
180 Degrees with 2 Quarter Landings
Two quarter landings for 90° turns at separate points, offering flexibility in layout.
Bi-Furcated
A grand configuration, splits into two flights, often used in large entrance halls.
Spiral
A dramatic connection, creating design possibilities with minimal footprint.
Curved
Sweeping curved lines create a grand statement centrepiece.
Helical
Curved stair that spirals gracefully around a central void. A grand design staircase.
S Shape
The stair sweeps one way then the other using winders, creating a sculptural form.
Flared
Wider treads at the base, tapering elegantly as the staircase ascends for a dramatic entrance.
Box Platforms
Larger bottom treads allow access to the stairs from different angles, for an inviting approach.
Amphitheatre Steps
Deep solid treads with high risers to one side create an interesting architectural feature.

We offer an extensive choice of handrails in different designs and materials to match or contrast the stair build. From contemporary round profiles to traditional shapes, each handrail is crafted to complete the staircase aesthetic.
Round Handrail
Clean contemporary look. Available in 42mm or 48mm diameter, in a choice of natural woods or steel to match your stair design.
Square Handrail
Modern feel with radius corners. Available in 40mm or 50mm, in a choice of natural woods or steel to match your stair design.
Rectangle Handrail
Modern profile. Available in 40mm width, 60mm or 80mm height, with radius corners, in a choice of natural woods or steel to match your stair design.
Flat Handrail
Clean lines for a modern feel. Available in 40mm or 50mm width, 10mm or 20mm height, in a choice of natural woods or steel to match your stair design.
Traditional Handrail
Classic Omega or Loaf shape profile. Available in a choice of timbers and painted finishes for a period feel.
Recessed Handrail
Plastered into the wall for a modern flush effect. Available in round or square grip profiles, in a choice of natural woods or steel.
Treads
It is our attention to detail that sets our stairs at such a high standard. Tread designs will complement the look of your staircase, available in a wide choice of materials, thicknesses and profiles.
40mm thickness Treads as standard
Solid quarter-sawn oak laminated timbers, stained or painted in a choice of finishes.
Thicker Treads for Open Riser Stairs
Thicker treads can ensure compliance with building regulations. Available in a choice of 80mm-130mm thicknesses.
Step Nose Treads for Open Rise Stairs
Step noses are made as part of the tread and require no fixings for a seamless transition. Can ensure compliance with building regulations.
Treads with Set Back Step Nose
The step nose is a separate, shorter piece of timber, set back and fixed to the underside of the tread. Can ensure compliance with building regulations.
Risers for Closed Rise Stairs
Risers can be made in glass, steel or timber, for a cut string or closed string stair.
Treads with Bullnoses
Bullnose profile on one or both ends for a traditional feel on closed riser stairs.
Glass Treads
Triple laminated safety glass, with anti slip designs, motifs, can be combined with wood treads if required.
Concrete / Tile Treads
Steel tread pans can be incorporated into our steel string staircases for third party supply of concrete and resin treads.
Perforated Steel Treads and Risers
An aesthetic option for a unique, industrial look. Suitable for interior and exterior applications.
Anti-Slip Bars in Treads
Available in contrasting timber, stainless steel, aluminium or brass inlays for added safety.
Lighting
Ambient lighting can open up the architecture of your stairs, creating a dramatic focal point as well as a practical safety feature. LED options are available for treads, shadow gaps and handrails across our staircase range.
Note: LED lighting in treads on certain models requires a double-skinned stringer construction.

Tread or Step nose is routered to house LED profiles, neatly hidden, flush to the bottom, for a dramatic ambient glow.
LED lights with Shadow Gap Detail
Treads are routered at the bottom edge with shadow gap detail to house LED profiles which are neatly hidden, creating a subtle, yet dramatic ambience.
Handrail Concealed Lighting
A routered groove to the handrail, whether recessed or fixed to a wall, neatly hides LED profiles, for a dramatic ambience.
