3 Flight Challenger Staircase

Zakuna were delighted to be specified for the design and installation of the stairs and internal doors, for two adjacent contemporary new build projects in Bath, Somerset, for Chris North Design.

Featuring one of the properties here, our Zakuna Challenger Staircase looks stunning from all angles. With its architectural  'Zig-Zag' lines, the design is striking, and it has created a superb centrepiece for this luxury home. The 3 flight set of stairs is fixed around a central wall with white split stone cladding. The Zig Zag design complements the geometric pattern of the cladding.

The design is emphasised by the contrasting white steel strings from the sides, with clean lines of the glass balustrades, which are set within the double stringer, to  conceal the glass fixings.

Step nose Oak treads are stained in Slate Grey.

The 180 degree half landing  is suspended from the second floor, creating an intriguing design feature which looks spectacular.

Matching Slate Grey, Oak square handrails add the perfect finishing touch.

A suite of Zakuna Flush Uni U004 doors in Slate Grey, Stained Oak where also installed throughout the property, perfectly matching the treads of the staircase, and complementing the interior decor.

The doors themselves, are beautifully understated in design. They are modern flush doors with an intricate pattern of four wood grains travelling in horizontal and vertical directions.

These contemporary doors are one of the most popular designs with architects and self-builders, due to its stunning looks and high quality. Our internal door sets are pre-hung in the factory for perfect alignment and closure with CNC precision engineering of fittings and ironmongery for high performance.

Our Architrave Door Frame System was chosen with APA01 modern architraves, butt joined with a slimmer top section to create a stylish feature joint for a contemporary look.

Door handles are LH118 in stainless steel. A contemporary slim design with a straight lever handle, ideal for creating a minimalistic effect. Ergonomic and comfortable to use.
