When used in conjunction with our thicker treads, it can give the appearance that the glass has passed through the treads, enhancing the floating tread appearance. For an invisible look with clean lines, the glass balustrades can be fixed between a double skinned stringer with parnite spacers. Countersunk fixings are reverse fixed from the tread side of the steel strings to create hidden fixings from the exterior side of the stair. Steel Tension wires are fixed between steel posts which can be top fixed or side fixed to the stairs or opening. As per building regulations gaps between wires must be less than 100mm. Please note: Tension in wires must be maintained to avoid slack by adjustable fixings.
