90 Degrees with quarter landing
A variation of an 'L Shape' stair where the bend is achieved by adding a landing at the transition point. Quarter landings are a popular feature with a small flat platform positioned anywhere up the staircase which allows the stairs to undergo a 90° turn, splitting the run of stairs into two smaller sections. If the landing is closer to the top or bottom of the stairs it is sometimes referred to as a long L stair. Custom shaped landings, set at other angles can also be configured.

180 Degrees with half landing
180° with a half landing staircase provides a flat platform, allowing the stairs to undergo a half (180°) turn. This U shaped staircase has two parallel flights of stairs with the landing situated midway up the staircase. U-shaped stairs are easier to fit into an architectural plan, the flat landing can be a custom size, to provide resting points when ascending, and a design feature to be architecturally pleasant to view. Choose to make your landing out of Solid Wood or perhaps with toughened walk on glass, that will shower light below.

180 Degrees with 2 quarter landings
Quarter landings are a popular feature with a small flat platform midway up the staircase which allows the stairs to undergo a 90° turn. A second quarter landing will effectively return the staircase to create a U shape and 180° return, splitting the run of stairs into three smaller sections.
Sometimes you may require your stairs to have 2 landings or a split landing when moving between floors. This may be to help your stairs conform to physical parameters as well as building regulations. If you are unsure or need advice on the best solution for your staircase, we offer onsite consultation where you can meet one of our designers, who can fine tune your configuration and specification to suit your aesthetical and financial needs.
