INSTALLED ON THIS PROJECT

Leigh and Karen commissioned this beautiful contemporary home situated near to the River Hamble, Southampton. A paragraph 79 home which is virtually invisible from the top of the hill due to the grass roof and use of natural materials. James Freeman Architects listened to the brief and designed this truly outstanding home that we are proud to have been involved with.

Bespoke Stairs

Our Cantilever staircase with Nero, Ash treads and frameless toughened and laminated glass is accentuated against the natural timber cladding, giving a truly floating staircase look and feel. The treads look continuous with the glass balustrade rising out of them.

Balcony Glass

We installed a single frameless piece of glass between two bedroom walls giving a galleried view down into the kitchen space.

Internal doors

A number of our Internal doors were selected throughout their new home:

Ground Floor - Invisible frames with smooth Torino Ash painted doors to match the walls with No-Ha invisible handles.

Ground Floor Cinema Room - Invisible door frame with timber cladding applied concealing the secret cinema room.

First Floor Bedrooms - Invisible frames that were plastered and painted with our Flush Plana P102 doors with Crown Cut American Walnut veneer and LH118 handle.

First Floor En-suites - Pockets doors with obscure sliding glass doors.

Concealed hinges, door seals, locks and latches were colour matched in white to complete the styling.

Internal Cladding

Wood slip cladding in a natural honey colour was applied behind the stairs and over the cinema room door giving a truly invisible door. It was supplied in sheets which interlock giving a seamless look when installed.

External Cladding

Bark Black Larch was specified in a random pattern for a stylish effect.

Our fire tempered wood cladding is extremely durable, low maintenance and an environmentally friendly solution. The ancient wood charring natural process provides long term protection from the elements, making it resistant to moisture, pests, and fire. For added protection, a fire retardant application can be specified as an option, suitable for domestic, commercial and industrial use.

Entrance Door

An Ultimum Multilevel 523 Double Entrance door was installed, positioned under the recessed porchway surrounded by natural stone, giving a striking contrast.
