Sonar staircase, Ferro Porte Door with fixed screen.
We were delighted to be specified for this exciting new build project in Devon.
SONAR STAIRCASE
The Sonar staircase creates a contemporary feel and looks stunning in this modern property.
The two flight stair configuration includes 2 x 180 degrees half landings. The self supporting design means there is no requirement of supporting posts.
The 'z formed' stepped strings have a slim, open framework style design, set underneath the treads, for a minimalist look.
The two steel strings are finished in Jet black.
For an elaborate feel, chunky 110mm Stained Oak treads have been chosen, fixed on top of the strings, and colour matched to the client's flooring.
Jet black round steel spindles are fixed to the top of the treads, colour matched to the strings, creating a strong contrast to the treads and interior design.
The round Oak handrail features curved connections for a seamless flow around the staircase, complementing the design. The steel spindles also follow the curved handrail around the half landings, creating a beautiful design feature.
A Stained Oak bottom rail was fitted to the balustrade around the opening to the 2nd floor landing, adding a nice design detail.
M102 FERRO PORTE DOOR & FIXED SCREEN
A Ferro Porte M104 custom door with fixed screen was designed and installed adjacent to the stairway, making the best possible use of the natural light available. This has also been sympathetically designed to suit the shape of the opening.
The slim profile sections create a minimalist look with contemporary / heritage styling, enhancing the interior.
The Ferro Porte Door has horizontal steel glazing bars, with a matching bar to co-ordinate the design for the fixed screen.
Concealed hinges were specified, hidden within the door return, for clean lines and a minimalistic look.
A latch box has been incorporated into the design, accommodating the LH105 Black lever handles and silver latch.
